I mentioned this elsewhere, this is the playlist chosen for the second game I hosted. Having typed it out here I hadn't realised how heavy it got in the middle, I wonder if that helped the game become more manic. We didn't reach the end of this CD, which is probably a bonus as it's one of my play lists that has a 'we've definitely reached the end' track to finish it off!

The theme was called 'A World Insane'

Shes' Lost Control - Joy Division
All Messed Up - Sum 41
She's Got Issues - The Offspring
Brain Stew - Green Day
Psycho Candy - Jesus & Mary Chain
Mad Man Blues - Dr Feelgood
Start Screaming - The Singing Loins
Psychosocial - Slipknot
The Frayed Ends of Sanity -
Aqua Dementia - Mastadon
The Patient Mental - Mudvayne
Group Therapy - OPM
Frontier Psychiatrist - Avalanches
Hysteria - Def Leopard
Crazy Mary Goes Round - Dokken
Mad Not Mad - Madness
What's The Frequency, Kenneth? - REM
Crazy - Barenaked Ladies
U Krazy Katz - PJ & Duncan

Hi,

I'd heard about the game for about a year before I finally tracked down a copy and I've hosted it at a couple of UK cons now with some decent results.

So far I've had to stick with the CD from the game plus five or six that I have put together myself. I've announced the game in advance along with what's needed if people want to bring their own CD, but am yet to have a player turn up with one!

This is the playlist that was chosen for the first game I hosted.

The theme was called 'Sweet Revenge'

Sweet Revenge

Revenge- Mindless Self Indulgence
That's How Murders Happen - Singing Loins
Man That You Fear - Marilyn Manson
Vengence Is Mine - Alice Cooper
Freddy Kreuger - Reuben
Dig (Your Own Grave) - This Is Menace
The Perfect Enemy - Dry Kill Logic
The Unrepentant - Steve Earle
Burning Down The House - Talking Heads
Don't Get Mad, Get Even - Aerosmith
Vigilante Man - Nazereth
Boadicea - Enya
Silent Anger - Brian Tyler
Jihad - Sisterhood
You Oughta Know - Alanis Morrisette
Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle - Nirvana
Platypus (I Hate You) - Green Day
Feeling This - Blink 182
Calm Before The Storm - Fall Out Boy

The lyrics to Mindless Self Indulgence - Revenge can be found here - http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/Revenge-lyrics-Mindless-Self-Indulgence/6E3E16BC32BC92BA48256CB6001150F6

But the Singing Loins are a local punk/folk band in Kent in the UK. They are worth listening to, I'd buy their back catalogue CD as a first hit - http://damagedgoods.greedbag.com/buy/the-complete-and-utter/

The lyrics for That's How Murders Happen aren't available on the web so I had to type them out -

That's How Murders Happen
Singing Loins (copyright Chris Broderick)

She told me I couldn't smoke
I was not even gonna to smoke
people there were eating
and I'm no unfeeling animal
I have a touch of common sense some times
I moved in to the garden and there I rolled a cigarette
ordered tea and scones for two,
four quid.
She wagged her stupid finger at me
smirking all the while
said 'you may not even smoke out here please sir'

(chorus)
Don't she know that's how,
that's how murders happen
Don't she know that's how,
that's how murders happen
all these rules and regulation from the petty bourgeoisie
when a man has had it up to here still pushing down on me.
Well don't she know that's how,
that's how murders happen
Don't she know that's how,
that's how murders happen
yes they do.

Please let me reiterate
in case you think I'm full of hate
I had no master plan to blow
my filthy smoke on anyone
I have some sensitivity sometimes
I was in the bloody garden
for Christ and pity's sake
in a jumped up cafe in Biddenden in Kent
cycling with me girlfriend and thought a cup of tea
would go down pretty well
not World War 3

(chorus)

she told me I couldn't smoke
silly cow
silly cow
I was not even gonna smoke
silly cow
silly cow
She wagged her stupid finger at me
smirking all the while
said 'you may not even smoke out here please sir'

Don't she know that's how, that's how murders happen
Well don't she know that's how, that's how murders happen
all these rules and regulation from the petty bourgeoisie
when a man has had it up to here still pushing down on me.
Well don't she know that's how, that's how murders happen
Don't she know that's how, that's how murders happen
yes they do, yes they do, yes they do
murders happen
yes they do, yes they do, yes they do
murders happen
yes they do (x 14)
